Red Dawn Productions was founded by Xiaodan He in 2013 in Montreal, Canada. The main mandate of the company is to produce films reflecting the reality and culture of the underrepresented groups in Canada and elsewhere, especially through the fates of women. Red Dawn Productions has produced two feature films that have been or will soon be presented in theatres: A Touch of Spring (fiction) and My Father's Journey  (documentary). Three feature fictions are in development: Where comes the wind, Montréal, ma belle and Flower of Dust. All the projects have been supported by federal and provincial institutions.

 

Before Xiaodan founded Red Dawn Productions, she has also produced and directed The Dance of the Star (fiction) and The Fall of Womenland (documentary) with other partners in Montreal.
